Last Autumn, Liz Truss announced that Corporation Tax would increase from 1st April 23 to 25%, but what does this mean for you and your business?
Currently businesses in the UK pay 19% Corporation Tax on their profits, quite simply put if your business made £100,000 profit, you'd have to pay £19,000 in tax.
From 1st April 2023, Companies with profits of £250,000 or above will have to pay 25% in Corporation Tax, whilst those with a profit below £50,000 will remain at 19%.
What about those with profits between £50,000 and £250,000 you ask? well, they will be subject to tax at a taper rate.
